ABSERV INTERNATIONAL was formed in 2007 to provide a service within the oil industry to abandon subsea, land or platform wells in a safe and efficient manner without subsequent damage to the environment.
The damage could occur in later years due to hydrocarbon leakage to the surface through poor placement of abandonment plugs or the wrong type of abandonment plugs and/or a flawed engineering design.
If the wrong reservoir life cycle pressure is chosen, and the abandonment plugs are not set across a formation with sufficient formation strength to contain that pressure, then in time there could be a leakage to the surface causing pollution.

It is crucial that the well be abandoned only once using a correctly engineered design.

ABSERV INTERNATIONAL is an independent company offering a variety of services concerned with the safe abandonment of all types of wells. ABSERV can handle the complete abandonment project from the design stage to the execution stage including government submissions, abandonment programmes, as well as providing all the necessary services.
Alternatively we can tailor our service to suit the client’s needs to provide key parts of the abandonment service.
ABSERV will act as a single point of contact in the abandonment process and will work with other Operators to provide a cost effective abandonment campaign where possible.
This can be best achieved by securing a rig or Intervention Vessel to share amongst a number of operators during a concerted abandonment campaign.
