4 Ways Healthcare have set up a radiology reporting service and intend to unlock the latent capacity in the radiology community by using retired, part-time and radiologists with young families. The aim of the TeleRad service is to provide radiologists with flexible working practices that enable the radiologists to meet any personal commitment they may have.
4 Ways also has strategic links with Manipal, a leading educational and healthcare provider in India. This provides 4 Ways with the opportunity to set up educational links with Manipal teaching institutions which it can share with its clients.
Unlike other reporting services 4WHC have radiologists based full time in its radiology reporting centre in Hemel Hempstead. These radiologists are coming to the UK on rotation from their sponsoring Medical School and therefore remain on the Manipal staff ensuring India is not denuded of its radiologists. Manipal benefits because radiologist return to India with valuable experience including CME’s and CPD and the NHS benefits from increased radiological capacity. Because the service is UK based the radiologists are free to attend MDT’s and are available for locum cover if required.
4WHC’s IT systems use state of the art IT Infrastructure and workstations with AMICAS PACS & latest Voice recognition system in its newly built facility at Hemel Hempstead. The network infrastructure is NHS N3 connectivity compliant and has all recommended security measures
